DBT Teen Skills Group

Meets Weekly: Thursday at 6:30pm (Ages 11–17)

Our Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Teen Skills Group helps adolescents develop effective tools for managing emotions, stress, and social challenges. Using evidence-based Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), teens learn skills for emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

This structured, skills-focused group supports teens with anxiety, ADHD, depression, emotional dysregulation, and ASD Level 1. Sessions are interactive and developmentally appropriate, using visual supports and hands-on activities to help teens apply skills in real-life situations at school, home, and with peers.

Teens are not required to share personal experiences. The focus is on learning and practicing coping skills in a safe, supportive environment. Optional parent reflection materials are provided to support skill carryover at home.

Brave Eaters Club™

(Ages 7–11)

The Brave Eaters Club™ is a small, supportive therapy group designed for children who struggle with eating due to anxiety, sensory sensitivities, or Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).

This group helps kids understand how their brain sometimes sends false food alarms and teaches them skills to feel safer, calmer, and more confident around food. Using a playful, evidence-based CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) approach, children learn to recognize anxious thoughts, check the facts, and practice brave steps at their own pace.

Sessions are highly interactive and kid-friendly, using games, visuals, and hands-on activities to build skills without pressure to eat. The focus is on thinking, choice, and confidence, not forcing food.

Parents are supported with coaching tools and home strategies to reinforce progress outside of sessions. The Brave Eaters Club™ creates a positive, empowering environment where kids learn that they are not “picky” or “bad” — their brain is just learning new rules.
